Description

Important: This is an original Seasucker product from the original manufacturer, manufactured from the highest quality materials directly at the headquarters of the company in Florida with a history of developing and testing its products, the official patent holder and the exclusive holder of crash tests for its products.

Any similar products under different brands available on the market today are imitations of the SeaSucker brand as the original - fakes made in China.

Mounting your expensive toys on a (mostly) even more expensive car using the power of air (that is, vacuuming it completely...) can seem like a risky adventure. However, you can avoid this unpleasant feeling of insecurity and praying while driving.

The solution is simple, and that is not to buy a fake and a product that imitates the original.

FAQS

We tested our carriers up to a speed of 290 km/h under controlled conditions and with appropriate safety measures. However, exceeding the speed limit will void the SeaSucker warranty. You must obey all posted speed limits and traffic conditions; if no speed limit is indicated, we recommend that you do not drive faster than 130 Km/h. You must adapt your driving style and speed to the road conditions, weather conditions and the load of your SeaSucker carrier.

20 Kg. For bicycles heavier than 20 kg (e.g. e-bike), we recommend using the Mini Bomber carrier.

If your bicycle is equipped with an older QR standard, the so-called quick release (the wheel "falls out" after being released from the fork), select the 9x100mm QR adapter from the menu above. Newer wheel mounting standards can be recognized by the fixed axle in the wheels, the so-called "Through Axle" (the wheel does not fall out freely after release, it is necessary to slide this axle outwards from the wheel hub). These basic six types and sizes represent 99% of all types of bikes on the market, including road, cross and gravel bikes, cruisers, MTB, BMX bikes and E-bikes.

Absolutely. We sometimes say "wetter is better" around here, but don't take that for granted. SeaSuckers usually hold up better when wet, so rain isn't a problem. As for the snow and cold, be aware that if you remove the stand after use in the cold, you may need to reheat it to near room temperature before the rubber is flexible enough to form a tight seal to the mounting surface. Once it's mounted (or, if you haven't removed it), you can travel. In warmer weather we also recommend that you wet the sealing edge of the suction cups before attaching. DO NOT DO THIS IN FREEZING TEMPERATURES. The vacuum suction cups would freeze to the surface of your car, preventing the vacuum pump and check valve from working properly. You will still need to wipe down your car in the cold as the vacuum mounts will not attach if there is snow or ice on the car. Dry the carrier before attaching it!

No, the vacuum suction cups, which are the only part of the SeaSucker vacuum carrier in contact with the car, are made of non-marking rubber.

We do not recommend using our products on foiled cars. Our tests have shown that the vacuum suction cups pull a bubble into the film during application, which damages the film and is also not a safe point for attaching the SeaSucker carrier. Some customers removed the foil from the car in the exact place where they could then attach the vacuum suction cups. However, the SeaSucker carrier can also be used without problems on a car with ceramic paintwork.

We recommend that you mount the carrier in a place where the roof has a supporting structure, for example just behind the windshield or just in front of the rear window. Unsupported areas, such as in the very center of the roof, can flex when driving over bumpy roads.

The Talon rack can be mounted in either direction, but the bike must always face forward. Always! We don't like pictures from customers who mount the bike backwards or sideways. This voids your warranty and is not a safe way to transport your bike. Please don't do it.

Yes, we have a solution, check out our anchors . In combination with any metal cable, they create a safe insurance against theft.

Each SeaSucker vacuum holder has an indicator strip directly on the pump piston. When the vacuum suction cup starts to lose vacuum, the piston starts to extend. When it extends far enough and the orange indicator band is visible, it's time to pump again. Unlike traditional SeaSucker suction cups, you don't have to disassemble them and quickly lick them (unless, of course, such things bring you pleasure, which I won't judge...) in order to pump them up.

In addition to selling complete vacuum carriers that you could exchange for damaged ones, we also sell spare parts such as new vacuum suction cups and pistons.

"Strong as a bull." 12 cm vacuum suction cups each have a tensile strength of 55 Kg with vertical centrifugal force. 15 cm vacuum suction cups have a resistance of up to 95 Kg for each of them. It is obvious that placing several vacuum suction cups on one carrier multiplies its maximum resistance and performance.

Your bicycle must always face forward on the car, but the carrier itself can also be mounted "in reverse". You may want to do this for a better fit on the roof, trunk or lid. Rotating the carrier rack can often solve mounting problems, such as the bike chain contacting the rear lid of the car, etc.

Each SeaSucker vacuum carrier comes with a protective cover for the suction cups. Place the cover back on the suction cup when the carrier is not in use. Make sure you push the edge of the vacuum suction cup all the way into the cap. If the suction cup is not fully seated in the cap, its edge could deform and make it difficult to attach it the next time the carrier is used. If this happens, let your SeaSucker sit on a flat surface, such as a worktop, for a few hours until gravity resolves itself. Despite the UV inhibitor integrated into the rubber and plastic blends we use, it's a good idea to store the SeaSucker carrier in a box or in the shade when not in use.
